Description
A wealth of subject matter for paintings could be found in this Victoria, British Columbia harbor. This bird remained atop this light fixture for quite a while, striking several poses for me and my camera. A sun-filled day when I took the reference photos, I chose to turn on the lights and make this painting early evening. I'm sure now this black bird is about ready to find his flock and roost for the night.
